Q: When you say I need to be able to commit to 5 days a week, what if I can't do this 5 days in a row due to other commitments. Can I split those 5 days up?
A: It depends on the account you are assigned to and what our client's needs are at the time. The account you are assigned to, and that will be determined by how well you do on your assessment test. We have a few interns who participate 4 days during the week but are required to complete more files per day.
Q: Do I have to come there to train or can I do it from home?
A: You participate from home, using your own computer and internet connection.
Q: How many of the people who complete the AIM Program actually wound up getting hired as transcriptionists after completing it?
A: So far, nearly all of the interns that have successfully completed the AIM Program have been offered a job (or jobs) upon completed their internship. In fact a few have even gotten hired by companies before they completed the program and many have been hired by us to continue working on accounts they trained on during their apprenticeship.
ANSWERS TO SOME FAQs
Q: I work full-time. Can I do the AIM Program
and work around my work schedule?
A: It is not recommended if you work 40+ hours per week and do this program, but it can be done. Ideally, we desire a commitment of no less than 4-5 hours a day devoted to your apprenticeship. Any less than that makes it very difficult to successfully complete the AIM Program in less than 12 weeks. We do offer flexibility as far as what part of the day you can do your files, and can accommodate most any schedule. Interns do not do files on the weekend or most holidays.
